I began my fitness journey focused on aesthetic goals but gradually shifted toward training for performance. My training includes calisthenics, rock climbing, and running (which is my current focus).
I spent two years working at a senior-focused gym, helping clients build strength, improve balance, and regain mobility. I also worked with NDIS participants on their functional goals. Seeing my clients achieve meaningful milestones — like playing with their grandchildren, getting back into the pool, or keeping up with daily life — became the most rewarding part of my work.
I realised we are all training for performance, even if it looks different for each of us. Training empowers us to live our fullest lives.
I teach Certificates III and IV in Fitness at Fit College.
I run a monthly ladies' book club called the Active Readers Book Club.
Outside the gym, I enjoy reading, learning languages, and attending local theatre.
I started Lisa Trains to make fitness more accessible. Through my efforts to educate and help others, I strive to remove barriers to health and fitness information.
If you've found my work helpful and would like to support me, I would appreciate it if you could buy me a coffee or two. Your support allows me to pour back into Lisa Trains.
